TEXT FOR 2010'I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people' - Leviticus 26v12Take the time to find in your Bible these links in the chain, which show the strength of the promise in our Church Motto From a Bible book not often read, the motto is part of a chain from Genesis to Revelation, in the following places See what God said to Abraham in Genesis 17v8, from the beginning of the story of The Gospel, and what was shown to John in Revelation 21v3, where the end of the Bible tells the future of those who belong to God forever. Look as well at these links in the chain, when God sent Moses to lead his people, in Exodus 6v7, and so much further on in the story of the faithfulness of God, in the message he gave to Peter, 1 Peter 2v10. In turn, this chain is part of an even greater, stronger theme of the Bible, of the presence of the Lord with his people, and how he makes them to be his own So many times comes this great resounding word, 'I am the Lord your God', and there are so many promises of God to his bless and stay with his people, like 'The Lord your God is with you', in Zephaniah 3v17. Above all we see how these promises of the Lord, are fulfilled in Jesus, 'Immanuel, which means God with us', Matthew 1v23, who says to us, from Matthew 28v20, 'I am with you always, to the end of the age' |
