PAT TOOKYou may know that Rev Dr Pat Took is retiring from her role as Regional Minister of the London Baptist Association in September. She is literally irreplaceable, since a recent assessment in preparation for appointments, showed she has very likely been doing the work of more than two peopleA celebration in thanksgiving for her service to the Association and the Baptist Union of Great Britain has been planned for 6.30pm on Sunday 13 June, at Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street, London Pat will have the opportunity to preach on this occasion, and in her final address as Regional Team Leader, will set out her vision for the future of the London Baptist family We include this item about Pat very well aware of her contribution to the life of our own fellowship over the years, and pause to think of how many times this can be multiplied It is a fact that the number of Regional staff required will be difficult to support financially, so please pray for wisdom in the decision making which is necessary in the months ahead We must think of how we can be involved as one of the churches of The London Baptist Association, thinking of the importance of supporting the settlement of pastors, for example, and the vital work of local mission We give thanks to the Lord for our fellowship with Pat Took, and all her work for us, asking his blessing for her, especially next year in the role of President of The Baptist Union of Great Britain |
