ACORNS

Only one meeting to report on this month, March 31st. We had a general games evening with all the leaders doing some games.

Caroline spoke to the younger ones about how television has a big influence on people because of the advertising; we learnt how the bible gives us guidance on how we should live our lives. I read from Zephaniah 3 v 17, Hebrews 4 v 16, and Jeremiah 29 v 11.

Doug spoke to the others about taming the tongue.

We had a meeting at the end of the evening with Gordon where he explained the plans from September and asked us for our views and comments.

Or planning meeting took place in the church lounge on April 7th and are now looking forward to the next term.

Date for Acorns parent’s diaries: July 21st you are invited to join us for our final evening when we will be having a BBQ. This will be Caroline’s final evening as our leader and so this will be an opportunity to thank her for all her hard work over the last few years. We are hoping that our pastor Gordon will be able to come along, meet with us, and talk to you about the plans for the future of our youth work.
